Maker’s Basics Sessions – Dates and times to be determined

Jason crafts and designs furniture and lighting fixtures for industrial and home use. He will teach small groups in his shop at the Village. We are currently signing up an interest list classes in various vocational arts: electrical, painting, welding and tool instruction. Once a group has registered, Jason will schedule the date and time (weekday evenings).

Please email to register for the class(es) you are interested in attending.   Please provide your full name, email address, phone number and availability.  All participants must be over 14 years (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

If you enjoy performing, singing and dancing then this is the class for you.  Learning performing arts skills has many benefits including building confidence, encouraging creativity as well as increasing social skills.  Classes beginning in May, check the calendar for the date(s).
Instructor Missie Van Bebber is the founder and artistic Director of Ivy Players.  Missie has directed with Ivy Players, Arts Off Broadway and Shakespeare In The Vines.  Her theatre experiences also include stage managing, coaching, costuming, prop management and marketing.  She has been an Inland Theatre League (ITL) Judge since 2013.  Missie has a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Redlands, with an English / Drama credential and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the California State University of Fullerton.

Over the years, Grace’s connection with a wide variety of art education and organizations has led to her involvement in art instruction and teaching.
She was a key contributor to the creation of the artist village in Santa Ana in 1985. As one of the co-founders of Studio 395 Foundation in Lake Elsinore she brings an infectious energy transmitting inspiration to the students she teaches, whether they are 4 or 40.

Zumba – Monday through Thursday from 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Zumba is an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of high-energy dance music.  Cece is a certified Zumba instructor whose liveliness and vigor drives the course. The music is a throbbing blend of salsa and bachata with a little Arabian nights thrown in for good measure. She has designed the class to bring a little cardio exercise to dance while supporting a healthy lifestyle. Class for ages 16 and over.

Taekwondo – Monday and Thursday 5pm -7pm

Taekwondo - a Korean martial art, characterized by its emphasis on head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.

Julie is our black belt Taekwondo instructor who brings energy and a strong sense of teamwork to her class. She has a profound depth of knowledge about the skill and is an excellent instructor.

Instruction in self-defense, discipline and respect as well as physical fitness is the focus of this class. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Tai Chi – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 10am

Tai chi chuan - is a slow motion, moving meditative exercise for relaxation, health and self-defense, an ancient form of martial arts that can help to increase circulation and cardiovascular conditioning and is renowned for improving mental, physical and spiritual health.

Reuben Quesada is credentialed teacher of history and social science, with a Masters in Political Science. As a lifelong student of Tai Chi, he is a dedicated instructor of the chuan Yang style. He has taught in Orange and Riverside Counties.

If your goal is to increase balance and stamina through stretching muscle groups without building muscle mass try this gentle form of meditation in a group setting.

Ceramics - Saturday 11:00am - 12:30pm – 6 Week Sessions

Ceramics is a comprehensive introduction to the craft of clay working. Judy has a love of clay and teaching.  She has studied, taught and manufactured ceramics most of her life.  She has been a resident of Wildomar for 30 years and loves the Inland Valleys.  Much of her work reflects the rustic beauty of the Elsinore region.

Etiquette/Modeling and College Prep – Call for class time and dates - 951*471*4407

1.      Etiquette/Modeling - learn to walk, take photos and manage your public image.

2.      College Prep - preparation class for parents and upper level high school student seeking to advance their education.  

Valarie comes to the Village with an established career as a high school counselor, jazz singer and model as well as being a specialist in weaving through the complications of college applications and financing.

Ballet Folklórico - COMING SOON

Ballet Folklórico is literally a story through dance; it teaches teamwork, poise, and confidence. Learn all the beautiful steps and traditions of this Mexican folk dancing style.  Known as Ms. Lorena around the Inland Empire she has embraced the tradition of the traditional Ballet Folklórico.  She has been teaching for 20 years in the local area from Temecula, Menifee.

Language arts – Creative Writing and Story Writing

1.      Creative Writing at Lakeland Community Center will focus on creative writing skills and self expression
- Thursday 4-5:30pm.

2.      Story writing is at the Lake Elsinore Library, and targets the elementary school population
- Monday 4-5:30pm

Robin received her BA in Elementary Education from University of Denver.  She also received her RN licensure, Critical Care Certification and Oncology certification and worked as a nurse at the VA and Navy for 30 years.  Upon retirement and relocation to Lake Elsinore, she began contributing to Studio 395 and their various projects.
